Field Trip: Junior Audubon - Kennedy Park Duck WalkDate: Wednesday February 06, 2019Time: 2:00 PMJoin us as we explore local trails, learn about birds and wildlife, and just enjoy the beauty of the Napa Valley in our kid-friendly birding group, Junior Audubon! All walks are from 2 to 4 pm. Parents and younger siblings are encouraged to attend. The goal of the Junior Audubon program is to attract school-aged birders, but all ages are welcome. Our walks are free, open to the public, and family-friendly. We walk at a moderate pace, stopping frequently to enjoy watching and listening to the birds. (NSAS Event) Details:Leader: Crystal DeMarco Description: This is a wonderful opportunity for young ones to learn about local ecosystems and the birds that inhabit them. Registration is free, and available through the City of Napa Parks and Recreation at https://apm.activecommunities.com/naparec/Home. Today’s walk is at Kennedy Park. Join Napa-Solano Audubon and a Park Ranger for a bird walk for younger birders. Kennedy Park is Napa’s largest community park, covering approximately 200 acres. There are excellent views of the Napa River, and large fields that attract a variety of bird life. Here we will seek out a variety of ducks and waterfowl and learn to spot the difference between some of the most commonly seen ducks.
