Walks and workshops aimed at Beginning Birders are held twice a month on Saturdays. All workshops begin at 9 a.m., followed by bird walks at 9:30 a.m. until noon. (NSAS Event)
Leader: Andrew Ford
Description: What are the elements that create a wildlife habitat? We will explore different habitats along the walk, and explore how each one supports different birds. We will also give tips on how you can easily create some habitats in your own yard, deck or patio.
The workshop will start at 9:00a.m. followed by a walk at 9:30 a.m. until noon. Walks are appropriate for all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). Please bring binoculars if you have them and water.
Directions: Meet at the Newell Open Space Preserve parking lot at 9:00 a.m. From Hwy 29, drive east on Donaldson Way until it ends and then turn left on Newell Drive.
