Field Trip: Boxes for Birds & Beginning Bird Walk at Pena Adobe

Walks and workshops aimed at Beginning Birders are held twice a month on Saturdays. All workshops begin at 9am, followed by bird walks at 9:30am until noon at Lagoon Valley/Pena Adobe Regional Park. (NSAS Event)

Leader: Alex Greene

Description: Learn about the birds that use cavities for nesting and how building and installing nest boxes can provide the with much-needed habitat. The workshop will last from 9:00 to 9:30, followed by a walk through Lagoon Valley/Pena Adobe Regional Park. Walks are appropriate for all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). Please bring binoculars if you have them and water.

Directions: Meet in the Pena Adobe parking lot. Take Hwy 80 north to Vacaville. Take the Pena Adobe exit and drive to east to the Pena Adobe parking lot.
