Field Trip: Benicia Christmas Bird Count Pre-Count Scouting

Join Robin Leong to scout several locations in advance of the Benicia Christmas Bird Count on Monday, December 14. (NSAS Event)

Details:

Leader: Robin Leong

Description: Preview several areas in the 15 mile diameter Benicia Christmas Bird Count (BCBC) circle. You will learn how to estimate the number of species seen, as well as tally as many species as possible. Since this field trip is during the count period, species can be counted as a Count Week species if they are not seen on the December 14th Christmas Bird Count. We will bird until approximately 2 p.m. Please bring something to eat, if you would like lunch or a snack during the trip.

Directions: Meet Robin at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of the Benicia State Recretional Area at the east entrance off of Hwy 780, Exit 3B, Military West.
