Field Trip: Lake HennesseyDate: Friday August 07, 2015Time: 8:00 AMWeekly Friday trip (NSAS Event) Details:Leader: Murray Berner Description: On Friday, we will walk along the shores of Lake Hennessey. On the north there will be swallows, terns and woodpeckers, grebes with fledglings. Bald Eagle and Osprey can be seen. In the secluded Conn Creek inlet, expect a few migrant wood-warblers, flycatchers, and grebes still on nests. Early fall color is brightening the forest. Meet me at the dead end of Conn Valley Rd about 8:30. From Silverado Trail at St. Helena, take Howell Mt Rd about 1.2 miles where the road forks. The right fork is Conn Valley Rd, continue to its dead end. Napa carpool departs from the east side of Sweeney's in Riverpark shopping center in south Napa at 8:00 am.
