Event: Earth Day Events

Date: Saturday April 21, 2018

Time: 9:00 AM

Various Earth Day events are taking place throughout Napa and Solano Counties that Napa-Solano Audubon members will participate in and welcome the public to attend. (NSAS Event)

Details:

In Vallejo, we will be the Farmer's Market in downtown Vallejo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. celebrating Earth Day with the Vallejo Garden Club. Brochures on native plants for birds will be available.

In American Canyon, we will be working with the City of American Canyon maintenance staff to plant a variety of native plants to provide more cover and food for songbirds. The planting party will take place from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. next to the parking lot at Eucalyptus Drive and Wetlands Edge Road. We will also have a table at this event with books, brochures, and other info. If you would like to help, please contact Crystal DeMarco at crystal.napasolanoaudubon@gmail.com.

Also, as part of our CHIRP Festival, we are offering a walk at Napa County Resource Conservation District's Huichica Creek Sustainable Demonstration Vineyard in Carneros from 3 to 5 p.m. This is a fundraiser for NSAS, so if you are interested, click the CHIRP Festival link on our home page or go to www.chirpfestival.com, and scroll to RCD Sustainable Demonstration Vineyard.
