Join Steve Chappell, Executive Director of the Suisun Resource Conservation District, for an overview of the Suisun Marsh and the Pacific Flyway Center. This program is free and open to the public at the Florence Douglas Senior Center at 333 Amador Street in Vallejo. (NSAS Event)

Details:

Steve Chappell's presentation focuses on the history of the Suisun Marsh, the 1977 Suisun Marsh Preservation Act, and how managed wetlands are operated and maintained for the benefit of resident and migratory wildlife species. He will then talk about the future vision of the Pacific Flyway Center and the opportunity to educate the public about the wetland and wildlife resources of Solano County, CA and the Pacific Flyway.

Mr. Chappell has over 20 years of experience in Suisun Marsh wetland and wildlife habitat management, regulatory and environmental permitting, and wetland habitat restoration and enhancement.
