The fourth annual Visions of the Wild is returning to Vallejo, Mare Island, and American Canyon from September 6-10. This year's theme is Changing Landscapes, and most events are free. - Not an NSAS Event

The festival kicks off on September 6th with a citizen science book talk by author Mary Ellen Hannibal at 7 p.m.

On September 7, the Opening Reception features a talk about Project Drawdown, which offers solutions for climate change. The art gallery will premiere a series of interpretive panels exploring the changing landscape of Vallejo and Mare Island.

On September 8, the festival presents a Chalk Art Festival, a Windows Art Project, short films and talks.

On September 9, enjoy the Nature Discovery Zone at the Vallejo Farmers Market. NSAS will be participating in this event. There will be tours of the Earthquake Protection Systems (EPS) facility on Mare Island, field trips to the San Francisco Bay Estuary, Napa River Cruise, films and interactive walks.

The festival ends on September 10 with a Nature Discovery Zone at American Canyon Farmers Market and a Carquinez Strait Cruise. For more information, go to https://visionsofthewild.org/.
