Date: Saturday March 11, 2017

Time: 8:00 AM

A bird walk for younger birders and any parents who want to attend at Westwood Hills Park from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. (NSAS Event)

Details:

This park has a mixture of wooded habitats as well as an open hill with a view over the city. Interesting birds include the occasional Pileated Woodpecker and Rufous-crowned Sparrow. Leaders from the Audubon Society will provide binoculars and field guides.

Directions: Take First Street west across Highway 29. It will turn into Browns Valley Road. Continue past Laurel Street and you will see a signed parking area on your left. This is where we will meet. Turn left onto Buchli Station Rd. Continue until the road turns to gravel and eventually dead-ends into a parking lot.
