Event: Hummingbird Workshop & Beginning Bird Walk in Rush Ranch

Walks and workshops aimed at Beginning Birders are held twice a month on Saturdays. All workshops begin at 9am, followed by bird walks at 9:30am until noon. (NSAS Event)

Description: Learn how to identify the three hummingbird species found in our area and how hummingbird ranges are changing due to climate change.

The workshop begins at 9am., followed by a bird walk at Rush Ranch Open Space and Grizzly Island Wildlife Area at 9:30 a.m. until noon. Walks are appropriate for all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). This walk requires some hiking up hills. Please bring binoculars if you have them and water.

Directions: Meet at the Rush Ranch parking lot at 9:00 a.m. From Hwy 80, drive east on Hwy 12 for approximately three miles to Grizzly Island Road. Turn right on Grizzly Island Road and go two miles to the ranch entrance at 3521 Grizzly Island Road.
