Event: Bird Walk in Newell Canyon & Feet Workshop

Join us for a brief adaptations workshop on bird feet, followed by a bird walk in Newell Canyon Preserve. (NSAS Event)

Details:

Did you know some birds can't walk? Or that birds use their legs as a thermostat? Some even use their toes as bait while fishing! During this workshop we will explore the different things birds use their feet for.

The workshop begins at 9 a.m. in the Newell Canyon Preserve parking lot, followed by bird walks at 9:30 until noon. Bring binoculars if you have them and water. Contact Wendy at napa-solano-birds@outlook.com for more information.

From Hwy 29 turn East onto Donaldson Way. Follow Donaldson Way until it ends and turn left (North) onto Newell Drive. The parking lot will be at the end of the road. Here is a link to google maps:
