Event: Beginning Bird Walk & Migration Workshop

Date: Saturday November 01, 2014

Time: 9:00 AM

Meet in the American Canyon Wetlands parking lot at Wetlands Edge Road and Eucalyptus Drive. (NSAS Event)

Details:

Ever wonder why migrating geese fly in a V? Or why migrating hawks and vultures fly around in big circles? This month we will answer these questions and explore why some birds migrate and others stay put.

The half hour workshop will be followed by a walk around American Canyon Wetlands that lasts until noon. The walks are on flat ground and are appropriate for all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult). Bring binoculars if you have them.
